Key Features

TrueCopy System Technology™
The new TrueCopy System Technology in ONYX brings many important new features specifically targeting the CD-R/RW duplication market.  No other recorder/duplicator combination provides a more comprehensive feature set for professional audio or data CD-R/RW reproduction.  All TAO/SAO/DAO data formats are supported.  For audio professionals, TrueCopy recorders write frame accurate full Red Book compliant copies that include often missed but important details such as UPC, ISRC and sub codes. These features combined with TrueSound™ audio QA provide the best audio copies available today (click here to read more about all TrueCopy System Technology).

TE400 Standalone DuplicatorSuperior Duplication System
Tigereye's highly sophisticated format analysis automatically recognizes the master format.  No user knowledge of standards (such as Red Book, Yellow Book, Orange Book etc.) or formats (such as ISO-9660, UFS, CD-XA etc.) is required.  It automatically analyses the master disc and copies it byte for byte, block for block. Audio tracks with subcodes, indexes, ISRC and UPC/MCN are copied.  To ensure the smooth duplication process the Discmatic Tigereye incorporates a number of key features. The simulation mode will test the overall compatibility by running through the job without burning CDs. Verification features can compare both the master and copied CDs in a single process.

Multiple CD Image Storage
With the internal hard disk drive the Tigereye 800 and 400 store and manage multiple CD images with ease. The functions include loading, deleting, renaming and un-deleting CD images, as well as hard disk management. Also, frequently used CD images can be stored, eliminating the need to repeatedly acquire and read the master CD.

Dedicated CD-ROM Drive Bay
The Tigereye 800 has a dedicated CD-ROM drive bay.  Install an optional CD-ROM drive to dedicate reading of master discs.

CD To CD Duplication
Making quick copies of a CD is a snap. The Tigereye 800 and 400 allow copying from CD-to-CD directly, on-the-fly. In addition, information can be saved to the hard drive during copying, combining two steps into one and saving time.

Audio Compilation
Creating audio compilation CDs has never been easier with Tigereye 800 and 400. Now you can create audio CD images by extracting audio tracks from any master CDs. Pre-gaps are specified during the image creation. Once a master image has been created it can be duplicated by a simple copy operation.

User Friendly Easy Operation
The Tigereye 800 has a large backlit LCD display that offers superb readability. Its triangle 6-key keypad formation (UP/DOWN, YES/NO, ENTER/STOP) is simple and intuitive to use. The display on the Tigereye shows detailed information on the progress and status of duplication in real-time so the user knows precisely what the Tigereye is doing at any given moment. These and other Tigereye designs make the duplication operation as easy as using a copy machine.

Easy Firmware Upgrade
Both the system and drive firmware in the Tigereye 800 can be quickly upgraded via the firmware CD by downloading the firmware file from this web site.  The firmware CD is also available through Discmatic or an authorized reseller.

Password Protection
In any duplication one must be careful what is being copied and who is making those copies. With Tigereye 800, you can set a user password to prevent unauthorized duplication to ensure proper operation.  You can also set a separate system password for changing setup configuration.

No PC or Mac Required
The Tigereye 800 is fully self contained CD duplicator with it's own hard disk and CD-R or CD-RW drives.

Trouble-Free Operation
Unlike other duplicators that use PC components and operating systems, the core duplication logic of the Tigereye is stored on an advanced flash ROM for maximum stability and reliability. The internal hard disk is dedicated solely to Multiple CD Image Management.

TrueCopy System Technology™

The new TrueCopy 16S™ drives and TrueCopy System Technology™ in Tigereye 800 brings many important new features specifically targeting the CD-R/RW duplication market.

These features combined with TrueSound™ audio QA provide the best audio copies available today.

The TrueCopy 16S™ recorder supports the following TrueCopy System Technology™ features:

TrueQA™
Tests the quality of recorded media by rejecting discs that have an unusually high number of correctable errors. This allows the system to reject poor quality media that other copiers over look.

TrueRID™
Optionally marks each CD-R/RW with an Orange Book compliant unique recorder number.

TrueLaser™
Unlike ordinary CD recorders that calibrate the laser before writing, TrueCopy™ recorders dynamically adjust recording laser power throughout the disc ensuring the highest possible recording quality.

TrueSpeed™
Automatically selects the fastest CD-RW recording speed recommended by the media.

TrueSound™
Checks audio masters for recording defects likely to produce clicks or pops.
