Cost of Ownership G-Series UDO media is available in true Write Once and Rewritable media formats, both of which are certified Ecma and ISO standards. UDO true Write Once technology enables regulatory compliance, best practice and audit trail management and is ideal for applications that require records be archived in an unalterable, non-erasable format for legal admissibility. UDO Rewritable media is used for more general archive requirements that demand data longevity while allowing older records to be erased and media space reused. |

G-Series libraries Powered by UDO are the market leader in 5.25 inch optical automation and are the backbone of the archival storage strategy for corporations and government agencies worldwide. G-Series libraries Powered by UDO provide dramatically greater archive capacities than previous generation products, delivering rapid access to large data archives with a very low Total Cost of Ownership. Designed to ensure investment protection through backward compatibility, all G-Series libraries support both 30GB UDO (Ultra Density Optical) and previous generation MO (Magneto Optical) storage technologies within the same library. State-of-the-art features such as dual picker, barcode reader, hot/warm swappable drives, redundant power supplies and the highest duty cycles in the industry combine to provide maximum performance and minimum downtime.. |

G-Series for IBM OS/400Professional
Archival Storage G-Series for IBM OS/400 optical libraries are supported natively within the IBM OS/400 and i5/OS operating systems. These libraries are automatically identified by OS/400 and i5/OS, presenting the library as a standard storage device. No additional library management software is required. The G-Series for IBM OS/400 libraries offer secure, long-term archival storage and are the most scalable, feature-rich optical solution available to iSeries customers. Users of IBM Content Manager for iSeries have implemented G-Series for IBM OS/400 as part of their information management and storage infrastructure. All G-Series for IBM OS/400 libraries support both 30GB UDO (Ultra Density optical) and previous generation MO (Magneto Optical) storage technologies and provide the same robust feature set as standard G-Series libraries to ensure maximum performance and minimum downtime: dual picker, barcode reader, hot/warm swappable drives, redundant power supplies and high duty cycles. G-Series for IBM OS/400 are the IBM-endorsed successor to the IBM 3995 optical libraries and have an almost six-fold increase in capacity compared with earlier generation 5.2GB IBM 3995 configurations. |
