The Chaparral Stratis RAID is a family of build-to-order external RAID systems ready to plug-and-play into a variety of environments. Stratis RAID systems are available with both SCSI or Fibre Channel host connections.

A Flexible RAID System

Chaparral's Stratis RAID systems are based on single or dual active-active Chaparral Fibre Channel and SCSI external RAID controllers in either 8, 12, or 16 bay enclosures. Each system includes one or two RAID controllers, 256MB to 512MB of cache for each controller, a battery back-up unit for each controller, one enclosure (8, 12, or 16 bay), drive sleds equal to the number of drives purchased, and all the back-end cables required to connect the controllers to the JBOD.

Available options include additional JBOD enclosures, 36GB, 73GB or 180GB hard disk drives, cabling, drive sleds, SFPs, and RAID management software which allows complete control over your RAID system from a single desktop.
