TreeFrog

The TreeFrog architecture of automated tape libraries continue in the Spectra Logic tradition of offering scalable and upgradeable automated tape libraries. Equipped with industry-leading drive technologies, the Spectra 2K provides a low-cost, entry-level backup and storage solution for today's distributed networks and servers.

  • Networked Storage Flexibility: - TAOS delivers the open, standards-based storage networking protocols required to move data efficiently and reliably across both a fiber channel or an IP SAN.
  • Affordable Automation - The Spectra 2K library provides an affordable automation solution without sacrificing high-end features.
  • Simplicity - The cornerstone of this simple Spectra 2K library design is an integrated picker and uni-body robotic chassis. The intelligent picker increases reliability by accomplishing all required motion with only two motors.
  • Multiple Connectivity Options - The Spectra 2K library allows you to combine leading edge backup infrastructures, such as SAN and NAS, with an affordable automation solution.

Bullfrog

Bullfrog: only 4U (7") of rack space, the Spectra 10K® library utilizes BullFrog architecture offering a reliable, cost-effective and scalable tape storage solution for data centers of all sizes. The Spectra 10K library delivers exceptional capacity and throughput - ideal for fast, frequent backups of large networks, servers, VLDBs, and data warehouses.

  • Industry's Highest Storage Density - Over 10 TB* (2 TB native) in only 4U of rack space (seven inches), helps minimize the cost of backup when data center space is at a premium.
  • Interface Technologies - The Spectra 10K library allows you to use leading edge backup infrastructures such as SANs by supporting Fibre Channel (private loop, public loop, and fabric) and SCSI-2 (Single-ended, HVD and LVD) interfaces.
  • Dual Logical Libraries - Allow a library's resources to be split between two servers. By creating logical libraries you can provide support for heterogeneous platforms, operating systems, and software applications - all in the same physical library

Gator

The Gator architecture meets the needs of midrange to high-end data centers. If your goal is to centralize backup and restore operations across a heterogeneous enterprise, nothing compares to the Spectra 20K™ and Spectra 64K™ tape libraries for performance, connectivity, reliability, storage and return on investment.

  • Industry's Highest Storage Density - Over 166 TB* (64 TB native) in a standard NEMA 19-inch rack mount enclosure, helps minimize the cost of backup when data center space is at a premium.
  • Networked Storage Flexibility: - TAOS delivers the open, standards-based storage networking protocols required to move data efficiently and reliably across a fiber channel or IP based SAN.
  • User-Installable Performance and Capacity Upgrades - Most upgrades can be installed without requiring library downtime. Features can be added using a simple key activation.
  • Multiple Connectivity Options - Gator architecture allows you to select from multiple interface technologies, giving you flexibility and control as your enterprise infrastructure changes.
  • Shared Library Service - Allocate a library's resources across your enterprise. By creating logical libraries you can provide support for heterogeneous platforms, software applications, tape drives, media, and interface technologies, all in the same physical library.
  • Best of Class Manageability - The Spectra 20K and Spectra 64K libraries include a color touchscreen interface for simple and intuitive configurations. The Remote Library Controller allows you to perform configuration and management of your library from anywhere in the world. Management options such as SNMP, modem, and Ethernet are also standard on both models.
